The Money and Budgeting Service (MABS) team work in partnership with Housing Leeds, helping tenants who are struggling to budget their money and pay their bills.
We work with tenants to help create a realistic budget which ensures their bills are paid on time, as well as making the most out of their income. After completing an Income & Expenditure with a MABS Coordinator, we can call providers and creditors on the tenants behalf to discuss payment tariffs, look at switching providers and arrange payment plans for arrears.

We do this to ensure the tenant is receiving the best deal with their providers and to make sure their payments are affordable.
The team are able to offer the whole range of Leeds Credit Union products to tenants, with the aim of supporting with their finances throughout the year to avoid failing in to arrears with their bills.
The MABS Coordinators, who are based across Leeds, are able to arrange appointments at any of the One Stop Centres or Hubs and can even arrange to visit the tenant in their own home for the appointment.
